The buzz on the Windows side of the technosphere this week is about new tablet PC’s. Kinda neat looking, but not my cup of tea — I’m a keyboard bear through and through.
Anyway, one item of note is that several magazines, including Slate, will be producing editions specially designed for reading on the new devices.
Quote of the Day goes to Cyrus Khron of Slate:
For online magazine Slate, the venture takes it one step closer to readers’ natural habitat.
“Our content and technology are melding together nicely, giving us the ability to become a mobile magazine,” said Cyrus Krohn, publisher of Slate. “Now readers can take Slate to the toilet with them.”
I can’t quite tell if Mr. Khron is describing a user-feature or making a market prediction…
